Key Responsibilities for Solution Architect in Professional Services
- Partner with customers to understand, analyse, and document their business and technical requirements in complex healthcare environments.
- Partner with project managers to ensure project plans are validated and project scope of work is respected according to contract requirements
- Partner with software developers and software architects to ensure a full understanding of development design and requirements
- Design, specify and lead technical implementation of scalable solution architectures tailored to client needs, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead workshops and technical discussions with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of digital healthcare solutions.
- Lead risk- and vulnerability analysis work to ensure security and quality in the solution implementations
- Translate business requirements into robust system and integration designs, ensuring interoperability across different healthcare systems and platforms.
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and project management teams throughout the delivery life cycle.
- Oversee end-to-end solution implementation, supporting configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting as required.
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement through documentation, mentoring, and feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare IT standards, interoperability frameworks, and emerging technologies.
Solution Architect Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record as a Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or equivalent role—preferably in healthcare, enterprise SaaS, or mission-critical software.
- Strong understanding of solution design, system integration, and interoperability—ideally with HL7, FHIR, REST APIs, and similar standards.
- Experience facilitating customer-facing workshops, gathering requirements, and translating them into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS), DevOps, and modern software development methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills—able to convey complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional, international teams.
- Fluency in English and Scandinavian language, both spoken and written.
- Eligibility to work in the EU/EEA (single European citizenship/passport required due to client contract requirements).
Preferred Skills for Professional Services Solution Architects
- Experience with healthcare IT (e.g., electronic health records, clinical workflows, patient safety systems).
- Knowledge of information security and compliance in regulated environments.
- Competence in project delivery using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and business domains.
- Hands-on experience with application management, infrastructure, or enterprise integration is a plus.
